3D Beak Card , steps for making

These are the steps we used make the 3D birds beak card from last week in school.

1. Fold the page down in half and across in half.

2. Open up the card and fold the top half down in half .

3. Now fold the whole sheet across in half.

4. On the quarter way fold line (that you did in step 2 ), make a cut ( about as long as your finger or less ).

5. Now fold these two corners into triangles but make sure the top line is straight (use your pencil to check ! ).

6. Fold these triangles back to the opposite side of the card on the same fold line – to make the card ‘beak’ bend both ways.

7.  Now open out the sheet and fold the card into the normal card shape with the ‘bird’s beak’ at the front.  Lift out the beak mouth gently with your fingers to get it open and working .

8. Decorate and have fun with it !
