Active Week 2018
Posted by: Ms. Elwood | Posted on: April 10, 2019We had a fantastic week of fun, games and activity for Active Week 2018. What a week we had!
We kicked it off with an assembly to launch the week with special guest, Kildare Senior footballer James Murray. He spoke to the children about the importance of sport and being active and encouraged them to keep practising and to get involved in local clubs.
Some of the highlights of Active Week included competing in the running challenge ‘Run for Fun’, beanbag golf, a walk to the local yarn bomb, soccer skills with Newbridge Town FC, football with Sarsfields GAA, dance music on the yard, bubble parties, yoga lessons, dance classes, gymnastics a QR-code hunt and of course the annual Fun Day! Fun Day was one of the best ever with obstacle courses, novelty races, bouncy castles, parachute games, a magic show, a disco and a visit to the ice-cream van!
We can’t wait for Active Week 2019 with lots of exciting things planned!
