Local Artist working on collaborative art project with EAL children

We are very excited that many of our EAL children have been working on a collaborative art project in the school. They have been working with local artist Petra Schulz on producing a mural in the main corridor. The theme is ‘Fairies in the Forest’. Watch this space! More information and photographs to come. We can’t wait to see the finished mural! 20150311_115952 (Small) 20150311_115936 (Small)

The  Altogether Polish School in conjunction with Scoil Mhuire Junior, Ballymany is delighted to host a special event on March 28th from 10am-1pm rsz_Éire_-_polska_2015which celebrates many of the Polish customs and traditions associated with Easter. The Altogether Polish school is a supplementary school for Polish children which runs every Saturday in  Scoil Mhuire. We are very excited to be hosting this event in association with  Scoil Mhuire in Newbridge, a town that has been home to many Polish people over the  years, during which they have become active members of the school and local community” It is hoped that  the upcoming Polska Eire 2015 will not only celebrate aspects of Polands rich culture and traditions but also provide a focal point for the further integration of the local, vibrant Polish community into  the town.Any event which increases social and cultural activities and promotes integration between all sectors of the community is to be celebrated. A fun day for all the family is promised with a line-up of free events, and families from every nationality in the school and beyond are welcome.
