Easter egg hunt :)
We had a fun day yesterday on our Easter egg hunt. We had to follow clues around the school which led to the yummy Easter eggs.
Special Visitors….. BAAAAAH
There was great excitement today in room 11, we had a special visit from a local farmer and his two lambs. We all got a turn petting the lambs, they even tried to eat some string from the art area. 🙂 🙂
Last week we learned all about the farm and the animals that are born in spring. We knew the lambs were coming so we made a picture for the lambs using pegs and peg boards.
Activity Time
We love activity time in senior infants, every morning we get to do loads of fun activities first thing in the morning. Our activities include small world play, English games where we write stories, building, jigsaws and patterns.
Spring is here
We have been learning all about spring the last few weeks. Here are spring flowers we painted, don’t they look great 🙂
We also went on a spring walk last week to see if we could see signs of spring. We saw lots on our walk such as buds on the trees, nest in the trees and lots lots more.
Happy New Year from Room 11
Welcome to our new website! Happy New Year to everyone from Room 11. Here are some of the details you need to know about our class.
Class Rules
We spent a lot of time in September talking about how to make our classroom a happy place. In the end, we decided on four rules. Each rule has two parts; something we will do, and something that others will do for us. Here are our rules!
- The Red Rule: I will not hurt anybody. Nobody will hurt me.
- The Yellow Rule: I will not disturb people’s work. Nobody will disturb me.
- The Blue Rule: I will listen to everyone. Everone will listen to me.
- The Green Rule: I will look after people’s things. People will look after my things.
Poems: Jack Frost
Look out, look out, Jack Frost is about
He’s after our fingers and toes
And all through the night
The Jolly little sprite
Is working where nobody knows.
He’ll climb each tree
So nimble is he
His silvery powder he’ll shake
To windows he’ll creep
And while we’re asleep
Such wonderful pictures he’ll make
Across the grass
He’ll merrily pass
And change all its greenness to white
Then home he will go
And laugh “Ho, ho ho”
What fun I have had in the night!”
P.E. Days
