Tree Planting for National Tree Day
Margaret planted the tree with us outside the front of the school. We can watch this tree grow into a fantastic horse chestnut tree as we get older. It will produce horse chestnuts or “conkers” as it grows.
Our Halloween Poem
We wrote a Halloween poem about witches…we hope you like it!
Witches
Witches fly everywhere,
With their really scraggy hair.
They fly in the sky on their broom,
Over the stars to the moon.
Their cats act like bats
Wearing witches hats!
A witch once fell into the ditch,
Flying over Scoil Mhuire pitch.
Witches fly over the ocean,
Casting spells with their potions.
Witches fly everywhere,
Boys and girls please beware.

We are the greatest!
This is one of our first communion songs:
We are the Greatest!
Just the way we children are is just how we’re happy to be.
Full of life and full of fun, just how we’re happy to be,
And just in case there’s any doubt we want you to know,
We are the greatest, yes we are cos Jesus told us so….yeah
Jesus told us so….yeah
Just the way we children are is just how we’re happy to be.
Full of surprises, full of love, just how we’re happy to be,
And just in case there’s any doubt we want you to know,
we are the greatest, yes we are cos Jesus told us so..yeah.
Jesus told us so….yeah.
Our Busy Activity Time!
Look at us playing our Maths games, using our Library corner to investigate and research and our tablets during our busy learning activity time.
Some of our “Leaf Critters”
We collected leaves of different shapes and sizes on our nature walk. We were watching out closely for certain leaf types: Sycamore and Oak leaves. We used the leaves to make our critters!
