Gymnastics in Room 12

The children finished their gymnastics with Leonard today. They all really enjoyed the lessons. They learned how to do tumble overs using the cheese technique. Ask them about it!

Happy New Year from Room 11

Welcome to our new website! Happy New Year to everyone from Room 11. Here are some of the details you need to know about our class.

Class Rules

We spent a lot of time in September talking about how to make our classroom a happy place. In the end, we decided on four rules. Each rule has two parts; something we will do, and something that others will do for us. Here are our rules!

  1. The Red Rule: I will not hurt anybody. Nobody will hurt me.
  2. The Yellow  Rule: I will not disturb people’s work. Nobody will disturb me.
  3. The Blue Rule: I will listen to everyone. Everone will listen to me.
  4. The Green Rule: I will look after people’s things. People will look after my things.

Poems: Jack Frost

Look out, look out, Jack Frost is about

He’s after our fingers and toes

And all through the night

The Jolly little sprite

Is working where nobody knows.

He’ll climb each tree

So nimble is he

His silvery powder he’ll shake

To windows he’ll creep

And while we’re asleep

Such wonderful pictures he’ll make

Across the grass

He’ll merrily pass

And change all its greenness to white

Then home he will go

And laugh “Ho, ho ho”

What fun I have had in the night!”

P.E. Days

P.E. days are Wednesdays and Thursdays until January 16th when gymnastics with Leonard will finish.

Magnets in Room 12

The boys and girls in Room 12 learned about magnets today. They explored the classroom to find out what attracted the magnets. The most popular answers were the white board, the radiator and the legs of the tables. The children decided that metal attracted magnets and wood, plastic and glass did not.
